What to Bring

Getting ready to move to campus? Make sure to have a good plan for packing.

Print this list and check off items as you go! The following are some suggestions, but they are not absolute necessities. If you live far from New York, it may be difficult to bring everything on this list. While you might want to consider bringing some or all of the following items with you, there are plenty of shopping outlets in New York City and you can also find many items right here in the area.

Do Not Bring

Certain items are prohibited in the residence halls for the safety of the entire community. Before you start packing, be sure to look at the list of Prohibited Items in the Guide to Living. These items are not allowed in the residence halls. Highlights include no pets, outside furniture, coffee makers, rice cookers, or other cooking appliances, and no hoverboards.
