Streaming Television Service in the Residence Halls

Streaming service is available free-of-charge for TVs, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Introduction

Streaming television service is available to undergraduate students living in Columbia Housing residence halls free of charge. This service is provided in partnership with Columbia University Information Technology and is managed by the CUIT team. The streaming television provider is Spectrum.

Please note: While the service is not available to most residents of Columbia Residential Apartments, it is available to undergraduate students who reside there.

  • A list of the channels available through the service are available on the CUIT website.

If you need help

  • If you experience any issues using the service, please check that your cable-ready TV is programmed for cable and not for antenna input. Some TVs have switches on the back, but most use the remote control to access "Main Menu" setup functions.
  • If you are still having problems such as partial channel reception, snow or static, contact the Hartley Hospitality Desk who will coordinate with CUIT to get your issue resolved.
