Eligibility and Options

Summer Housing is available to current undergraduates enrolled in Columbia College or the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Summer Housing is granted on a first-come, first-served basis and depends on availability, although priority is given to students enrolled in Summer Session classes, those conducting research or working on campus, or students working off campus.

General Studies, Barnard, and CC/SEAS students with non-guaranteed housing must be enrolled in summer classes to be eligible for Summer Housing and must apply as Visiting Summer Students.

Columbia University departments that wish to sponsor a student's Summer Housing must email Housing to begin the request process.

Residential Options

As part of Summer Housing, single and double rooms are available for Summer Session II in Broadway hall and Full Summer in Schapiro , 600 W. 113, 548 W. 113 and  Harmony halls. All rooms are air conditioned during the summer.
