After the registration period is over, each individual or group is assigned a randomly selected, computer-generated lottery number. Groups share one lottery number.
Each individual or group is then assigned a specific appointment date and time to choose their room/suite, determined by individual/group point value (first) and lottery number (second). Students’ lottery numbers and appointment dates/times are posted in the Housing Portal after registration has closed. Students may find their lottery number and appointment time within the Registration Summary step of their housing application.
