Assignments are made individually by Columbia Housing on a first-come, first-served basis. When possible, students are assigned to their Fall assignment. Students who are assigned to their Fall assignment have the option to pay for Fall Interim and may remain in their room; students who decide not to register for Fall Interim must vacate their room on August 14. In the event of excessive demand for housing, priority is given to individuals registered for summer classes. Students who sign up for Session I only are not guaranteed Session II housing and must apply again for additional periods.
To request special accommodations due to a disability, complete a Disability Housing Accommodations Request Form and submit supporting documentation to Disability Services. Disability Services cannot guarantee accommodations, which are based upon availability. Requests are subject to the approval of the office. If Disability Services approves a request, Columbia Housing makes every effort to meet outlined needs. Summer placement in a Disability Housing assignment does not guarantee the same housing assignment/placement in the Fall. For more information on the Disability Housing application process, please consult Disability Housing Accommodation Procedures and Guidelines.
