The Student Mail Center is now located in Wien Hall

For those students living in our undergraduate residence halls, USPS mail as well as packages sent by couriers like Fed Ex and UPS are delivered to the Student Mail Center in Wien Hall. For returning students, this is a change, as student mail was previously received in Lerner Hall. For more information, including hours of operation, please visit Columbia Mail.

Rather than having to check a physical mailbox, students will be notified by email when either mail or packages are received, and can pick them up at the Student Mail Center. If not picked up within 7 days, a second email is sent and you have an additional 7 days before packages are returned. When shipped a package marked “perishable,” an email entitled “Perishable Item” will be sent to you. Perishable and oversized bulk packages are held for no more than 7 days, as no refrigeration is available.

  • You can also ship packages from the Mail Center. Outgoing mail can be deposited in any USPS mailbox or brought to the Student Mail Center. The Mail Center does not sell stamps.
  • You can begin receiving mail and packages up to 14 days before arriving on campus.

XXXX is your 4-digit mailbox number. Never write ‘box’ before the number.

This is your address for both letters and packages. Mail should never be sent to your residence hall address.
